Every dog in our program is fully health tested before breeding. We believe in complete transparency so you can bring home your puppy with total confidence.
Our Commitment to Healthy Bloodlines
At Von Der Hugelspitze, health testing is not optional. It is the foundation of our entire breeding program. We only breed dogs that have passed rigorous health evaluations to ensure every puppy has the best possible start in life.
Evaluates hip joint formation. Dysplasia can cause pain and mobility issues. All our dogs are tested and rated Free or OFA Good/Normal.
Screens for abnormal elbow joint development. A common issue in large breeds that can cause lameness if left undetected.
A genetic condition affecting breathing and swallowing. DNA testing ensures we never produce affected puppies.
Echocardiogram screening for heart abnormalities. All breeding dogs must pass cardiac evaluation before being included in our program.
A progressive neurological condition tested via DNA. Our dogs are confirmed NAD Free to prevent passing this condition to offspring.
A serious neurological disease in Rottweilers. DNA testing confirms our dogs are LEMP Free before any breeding takes place.
